 Gender based violence 

Gender-based violence refers to any harmful act that is perpetrated against an individual based on their gender, often targeting women and girls. It includes physical, sexual, emotional, and psychological abuse, as well as economic and social harm, motivated by gender inequality and power imbalances. Gender-based violence can occur in various settings, including:

1. Domestic Violence: Violence that occurs within intimate relationships or households, such as spousal abuse, partner violence, and family violence.

2. Sexual Violence: Acts of sexual assault, rape, harassment, and exploitation that target individuals based on their gender, often with the intention of exerting power and control.

3. Human Trafficking: The exploitation and trafficking of individuals, particularly women and girls, for purposes of forced labor, sexual exploitation, and other forms of abuse.

4. Child Marriage: The forced or early marriage of children, primarily girls, which can lead to physical, emotional, and social harm.

5. Workplace Violence: Harassment, discrimination, and abuse that occur in work settings, targeting individuals based on their gender and contributing to a hostile work environment.
